The Vanishing Game, a 17,000-word story by British novelist and screenwriter, William Boyd, takes the concept of brand storytelling to new levels through a driving adventure hosted on a dedicated Tumblr blog.
Moving graphics and still images help the reader to visualize the novel, while sounds like music and a voice-over narrative in synch with the text overlay, all add an experiential layer to the novel that is completely different from that of a traditional eBook.

20 years ago we launched the BMW Z3 Roadster. One of the deliverables was a film called GO! that told a story of a Z3 as it traveled from Savannah to Gold Beach, OR. The beautifully written treatment never quite translated to the screen.
20 years later, it probably would have been something like this – an audio-visual book.
